Iggy, if I have to say something about him with few words, then it would be the true working dog. I don't really know when he impressed me, I think it happened from a second to another. He got me mostly by his work during herding: his stamina, his energetic style, his development and intelligence, his herding talent and pure, nature herding instinct amaze me all the time I see him. The proof of his unlimited intelligence and herding talent is, that he developed so quickly in herding in short term of time, he even was capable to pass the working test after few trainings. He is quick and always ready to act, he tries to give the best all the time. He gets along with other dogs and people well, except when it's work, because he is focused on it with 100% and he doesn't like to be interrupted. He has a balanced character, he is adaptive to any situation no matter where or what happens. He is clear minded - that is really important for me - he is a stable and friendly dog, who can stand the pressure. He can be motivated very easily, he does everything for you if you have a toy in your hand. With his owner, Viola, they are mostly doing agility - he has good basics and huge drive. Together they have achieved a lot of nice results and titles, attended to several international competitions, now they're competing in A3 and even got the Hungarian Agility Master title last year.
Among Iggy's relatives we mostly find herding working dogs, as he is coming from a the famous English Eryri and Astra line, which produced a lot of successful herding dogs. Of course, some of the dogs also have nice results in other dog sports. His father, Roy was trialling in Class 2 and was a successful studdog, now he is spending his retirement in Italy. Iggy's mother, Midge is coming from the Astra kennel, she was among the first working Border collies in Hungary. I've seen her working many times, she was amazing and so are her offsprings. :)
About Meggy I can only repeat the words on her site. She's not only having a super strong herding instinct, but she can use it properly and consciously. She's one of the most stoic and steady dog I know, she's always clear-minded, she can work with using her intelligence to solve any problem in any situation. If it's about work, she's unworldly. Her stamina and will-to please are limitless, we can do anything, because she's always enthusiastic and works on the maximum level. She can be motivated super easily, she loves playing with people. She has a huge feeling for waters, she can get herself even in a small puddle. The most important thing for me that she's also has a very balanced and stable character, she's only sensitive when it's needed, she can stand any level of pressure. She's kind, can be a little kitty sometimes, she loves escpecially children. For her appearance she's got light bones, harmonic body structure, she's looks just how a working BC should look like - I think. We have big plans for the future, mostly attending to herding trials, passing HWT.
We are expecting stable dogs with good and balanced character, who can work very hard under any pressure. The puppies will be suitable for any kind of dog sports, for people who are want to compete on a higher level than hobby. For us, having the right herding instinct and talent is very important, according to the parents, the puppies will inherit it well.
We give all the necessary basic socialization to the puppies which has a huge impress on their futurbe life and gives one, secure base. Our aim is to give the owners a puppy with good preparation, a puppy who is stable and balanced in mind, with whom they can make a perfect team together! We give every help to the owners to choose the right puppy, the one that fits their concept the most. The puppies will be given to their new homes with a puppy package, that contains: some new toys for their new live, some old toys from the litter-time, a pack of the usual dog food they got during the last weeks at us - and at last, their pedigree and the selling contract. All puppies will be wormed, vaccinated and microchipped - their health will be checked by our vet regularly.
